POSITION:
Registered Nurse

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Current Certificate of Competence as a Registered Nurse with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
-BScN preferred.
-Current BCLS certificate.
-Current ACLS certificate.
-Recent critical care experience (3-5 Years).
-Pediatric experience.
-IV certification.
-Current CVAA certification.
-Certification in delegated medical acts and added nursing skills in critical care
-Cardiac module of critical care course.
-Previous Diagnostic Imaging experience.
-Experience with Biopsies, drainages and PICC line insertions.
-Demonstrated critical thinking/problem solving skills.
-Demonstrated ability to prioritize within a multi-task environment.
-Excellent communication/interpersonal skills.
-Member of RNAO preferred.
-Satisfactory attendance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
-Provide total patient care for in-patients of the Alliance receiving Diagnostic Imaging Services
-Provide post procedural care for outpatients
-PICC line insertion, assessment, replacement, repair and removal.
-Administration of medication to both adult and paediatric patients.
-Communication with all appropriate team members regarding patient care.
-Other responsibilities as delegated.
