ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
-Demonstrated knowledge of computers using Windows based computer programs
-Demonstrated ability to use photocopier, fax machine and computer.
-Knowledge and experience of a Materiel Management and Inventory Management computerized information system required - HBOC preferred.
-Enhanced knowledge of WHMIS legislation as it applies for shipping and receiving preferred.
-Satisfactory attendance.

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES (Personal Skills and Attributes)
-Able to problem solve with little supervision., including problem solving of purchased goods.
-Knowledge of WHMIS transportation legislation.
-Demonstrates safe lifting practices.
-Demonstrates knowledge to sort mail.
-Able to work accurately while working alone or on a team.
-Knowledge of hospital layout.
-Able to assist in unloading trucks.
-Experience in operating heavy equipment and machinery.
-Experience in an office environment.
-Able to demonstrate organizational skills of setting priorities.
-Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient and Family Centred Care.
-Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering with each other to improve the safety of patient care processes and systems.
-Demonstrated performance reflecting the Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct of Chatham-Kent Health Alliance.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
-Demonstrates ability matching packing slips to purchase orders accurately.
-Ability to assist in unloading trucks.
-Ability to deliver products in timely and courteous manner
-Provides assistance to customers regarding product needs, received goods, distribution issues.
-Accuracy and attention when receiving goods is critical
