Temporary Regular Part-Time
From ASAP to December 31, 2019

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
- Secondary School Diploma
- Current CSA recognized Medical Device Reprocessing Certificate- Mandatory
- Olympus Medical Reprocessing Specialist Certificate- Preferred
- Minimum one year OR support/ Endoscope reprocessing experience or equivalent within the last 2 years.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with proper instrument handling
- Excellent communications skills
- Time management and priority setting skills
- Knowledge of WHMIS biohazard waste handling
- Knowledge of medical terminology and principles of asepsis
- Satisfactory attendance

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
-Ensures patient confidentiality is maintained
-Demonstrates competence in the preparation and maintenance of equipment, instruments and supplies for surgical cases in compliance with Canadian Operating Room Standards
-As a member of the team, assists in maintenance of optimal level of cleanliness in the O.R.
-Picking instruments and supplies for surgical cases
-Ordering non-stock inventory
-This position is required to provide services at both the Chatham and Wallceburg sites
