ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skill, Experience)
-Rights Advice certification required or certification within 3 months.
-Medical Office Administration College Certificate or equivalent.
-Experience/education in OHIP scheduling/billing system (Xwave preferred)
-Medical transcription certification preferred and excellent knowledge of psychiatric medical
terminology required.
-Demonstrated proficiency at an advanced level in Windows XP, MS Word, Excel, Access and Outlook.
-Minimum 3 years related experience in a mental health workplace.
-Satisfactory attendance.

-Must be able to perform Rights Advice.
-Critical analytical and strong mathematical skills.
-Demonstrated knowledge of Mental Health Act relating to Consent and Capacity Board.
-Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
-Demonstrated ability to support and embrace the philosophy of Service Excellence and Patient and
Family Centred Care.
-Demonstrated participation in building a culture of safety and partnering with each other to improve the
safety of patient care processes and systems.

ACCOUNTABILITIES (Major Responsibilities of the Position)
-Provide switchboard, secretarial and receptionist duties
-Xwave scheduling and billing processes for Mental Health Services psychiatrists
-Assist and serve as back-up to Mental Health Services clerical team.
-Provide coverage for evening Mental Health and Addictions Program Clinical Services.
-Provide minute taking services at various levels (Program to Community).
-Medical transcription/editing and copy typing.
-Filing and Scanning for MHAP Program
